Michael Jacobs

Pitching

Michael Jacobs is the pitching coach at Olathe West High School and has been there for the past 3 years.
Prior to joining the Olathe West coaching staff, Michael served as an assistant baseball coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School from 2011-2017. While at Aquinas, Michael held a variety of different roles but primarily worked with the pitching staff. He helped coach Aquinas teams to 5A state titles in 2014 and then again in 2016.
Prior to coaching, Michael attended the University of Iowa from 2006-2010 and pitched 4 years for Hawkeye baseball team in a variety of different roles.

Travis Holehan

Graduated from Wichita State University with a B.S. in Math Education in 2014.
He played baseball in the NAIA as a catcher for Oklahoma Baptist University and Central Christian College and summer baseball with the Lindsborg Knights in the Kansas Collegiate League.
Has coached baseball for the past six years at a high school level and is now a teacher and baseball coach at Blue Valley West High School.
Travis takes pride in his coaching and looks to develop each player’s skill set while teaching them the right way to play the game. He develops great rapport with his players and works to help them increase their understanding, talent level, and confidence both on and off the field.

Jordan Floyd

Pitching

After being drafted by the Yankees out of HS, Jordan attended Kansas State where he set the all time record for appearances over his 4 year career while playing for the K-State Wildcats.
Out of college, he was drafted by the Royals in the 10th rd of the 2017 MLB Amateur Draft.
While currently working on his Masters of Sports Management at Baker University, Jordan is in his first year as the pitching coach for the Baker Wildcats. Previously he was an assistant coach at Blue Valley Southwest High School.

Dakota Smith

Pitching/Hitting

Smith played several seasons prior to college for former Kansas City Royal, Mike Macfarlane as part of the Mac ‘n’ Seitz Indians. He played baseball at the University of Kansas where he was an everyday outfielder and middle of the lineup hitter for the Jayhawks, helping KU to a third seed at the 2014 Louisville Regional.
Smith spent five years as a pitcher at the professional level, with experience in every bullpen role. He finished his professional career with the New Britain Bees, which is highly regarded as one of the best independent leagues in the United States.
Coach Smith is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the OU baseball program and is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a performance enhancement specialist. He helps with private instruction for pitching, hitting, and strength training in his spare time.

Nathan Whitcomb

Pitching

Nathan pitched two seasons at Neosho County Community College and two seasons at Emporia State University.
In his 3rd year at Mac N Seitz, he will be coaching a 16U team in the summer.
He also currently teaches Physical Education at Leavenworth Elementary.
