Chie is a graduate of Grandview High School (MO). He was 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Metro, and 2nd Team All-State as a Senior in High School. Chie was selected in the 10th Round of the MLB draft by the Tampa Bay Rays out of High School. He played in the Minor Leagues for a few years and was the Most Improved Minor League Player in 1997. Chie has been an Instructor and Coach for Mac N Seitz for 26+ years coaching at both the High School and Youth levels.
