Shawn joins the organization after playing college baseball at Barton County Community College in Great Bend, KS, DII Newman University in Wichita, Kansas, and finishing his final year at University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, KS. He is from Topeka, KS, and was a regular starter during all five years of college ball playing in 196 collegiate games. He played left field for the #14 ranked Barton Cougars in 2022, where he was a part of Barton’s regular season conference championship, and he also played left field for the Newman Jets in 2023, where he hit .323 as the leadoff, helping the Jets to their first MIAA playoff appearance. He played all 3 outfield positions in his 4 years, and at DII Newman University where he played his 3rd and 4th seasons, he posted a .294 batting average in 279 at bats and a .970 fielding percentage in two years.

Shawn coached at the High School level and Youth level since 2021. He is a Hitting and Fielding instructor and will also coach our 13U and 14U teams next Spring and Summer, 2026.
